This year we are supporting the Charles Thompson Mission to get over 200 Homeless Rucksacks to give to the Homeless right here in Birkenhead to help make Christmas a tad more bearable for them.
We are asking groups to help by bringing along pre-owned or new rucksacks and items to go inside them such as; ready to eat food, toiletries, sweets and luxury items such as hats, gloves and scarves.
We will be packing the rucksacks on Sunday 2nd December & to add some fun we will be jigging along to Christmas Tunes, wearing Christmas Jumpers and hats as well as having a BBQ (Yes, you read it right a BBQ!)!
If your group cant attend then you can drop items and rucksacks off to our Donation Station inside Wirral Scout Shop!
Scouts develops empathy and Scouts throughout Birkenhead are known for giving their time and efforts to the local community and lets help make some people Christmas by producing lots of these amazing Christmas Rucksacks.
