I remember with great affection my days at the 2nd Birkenhead (late 50’s) with the leaders George Livingstone and particularly Tony Richmond – two great guys. Then onto the 40th (Highfield) with Barry Hatton (Hank) and Dennis Hargraves - wonderful times. My times with Highfield Rover crew were some of the best of my life. To all leaders - don’t get mixed up in squabbling and petty politics - please just enjoy what you are doing and think you will live on in all the kids you are helping today.

Have just spotted in diary 64th Dinner for 75 years, I am sorry did not know of this event,hope it went well.Group continues to do well,and present leaders doing a great job,ably supported by Executive-good to see RN recognition still acheived.Remember well first one I was involved in in 1960,all smart uniforms with Mrs Irene Sheddon our leader and Messrs Milligan and Cropper ensured group put on superb display,plus achievements of the year on show. Groupo is acreit to Rev White a curate of St Saviours who started it 1934..District also had Sea Scouts at 11th,Park street-superb hq and den,,and some in 28th,at the college.Hope celebrations go well this year,you deserve to party!!!

Good to hear show went well,Congrats to aall invoved, esp Tech team-greatb Lighting as ever,keeping up a tradition,well remember fondly ,first shows we lit there back in 69/71,after move from Plaza Cinema-dusty hole that was,esp in roof spaces.Andy Baker would be looking down on you with a smile I am sure.WELL DONE, ANDY

Just to wish you a very successful GANG SHOW week,we hope all goes well,sorry we cant get to see it, Iam looking after Judy after her hospitalisation after accident on black ice.Do hope show is well supported, I remember working on lights in the upper flys gallery at Gladstone in the shows shown in your archive slot.PLEASE if at all possible can the webmaster or somebody sent us a programme--will gladly re imburse postages.Thank You.
